me and my bf have a distant relationship,(well he live an hours drive away) we've been together for 9 months and thing have been great until recently, we're everytime im on the phone, one min we're fine and next thing i know i'm wanting to start an arguement, plus with him getting a new job and getting a new house he's got a lot on his plate which is stressing him out, as well as me starting uni and not getting to see him much has made me become 'clingy' (i hate admitting that )
last night we decided to take a break, so we can sort our selves out, and learn to appreciate one another and what we have and realise how much we love one another and go back to the way things were hopefully,

do u think this will work?

I think that it depends on how you spend your time apart. If you spend it readying yourself for a relationship with him, and he does the same... you could end up much closer than before and ready for a commitment to a long term relationship. However, if you both just go on with your lives and find new friends... most likely, you will both grow apart and forget what each other meant to one another. While it is true that absence makes the heart grow fonder... and seeing too much of someone is not always a good thing... it is also true that with time we forget and move on with our lives. Therefore, finding the balance is probably the key.

As long as you both have established what you can and can't do, a break is sometimes needed. A break means just that... A BREAK. Should'nt mean you will both go out and do other people or start dating. A break means you will stay away from one another and not get on each other's nerves. Then hopefully get back together and work things out.

Me and my bloke did this. It was devastating for me because he suggested it but it worked. We didn't speak for two weeks and then he rang me one day and things were better than ever. He's a long distance lorry driver now and we only see each other 1-2 days a week. We have a house and mortgage together so it's a serious relationship though, you just have to work hard at it.

I think a break is a very good idea. It will sway the relationship one way or the other. Either you will (or one of you) miss each other or you will drift apart and realise that you werent meant for each other. Good luck

breaks can go either way -
1- you'll realise that you miss this person so much when they're not around that you'll both be desperate to see each other again and put this right
OR
2- you wont miss each other one bit, grow apart and never get back together
Only time will tell really

Don't go on a break you'll drift apart. You just need to go easier on him, he's going through a stressful time.

I do not think it will. Instead you should try and resolve your differences and if that does not work just break it off completely.
