none do, but christianity at least follows the laws in the countries it is in, it doesn't try to force old laws on other countries.

Most religions update themselves according to the modern world, thats probably why most of it makes no sense. Religion has become a man made thing due to the word of God been altered to fit into todays lifestyles.
The Hare Krishna movement on the other hand live by the oldest scriptures known to man and alter their lifestyles according to the scriptures, rather than update religion to suit the modern world.

I think most religions 'update' themselves to cope with modernity. I'm Catholic, Catholicism seems to bring in new 'rules' if and when required: fish on one day of the week instead of only Fridays, the way you accept the Communion, other things too. I'm not sure about other religions. But, i cannot see that a religion, and I'm sorry for this Billal, i cannot see that a religion that stones to death adulterers is forward thinking and modern thinking, ie, updating itself. Which rules out Islam. A barbaric and desperately inhumane practise. Along with a few other practises that Islam preaches, such as martyrdom will get you into Heaven with 72 blond virgins

Well, Islam has the book which contain scientific discoveries that are just now being realized. I believe it contain many scientific knowledge which has yet to be discovered. The Qur'an also contain prophecies which are coming true still to this day... which some have not come true yet, but God willing they will.
So based on the fact the the miraculous Qur'an is part of Islam, Islam is the religion that updates itself.

TRUE christians do NOT update. There is no updating needed to be done. We have to explain scriptures to those that would twist them for their own personal gain, but they are not changing. Those who say they are christian and start buying into scientific explanations of the bible, "new" revalations", new prophets etc, they are NOT true Christians. God's Word is infallible.
To that, leaves Jehovah's Witnesses, Mormons, the Roman Catholic church (which is moving to conform and make one universal church with all religions), islam (which is bowing to science and trying to get the approval of the world by doing so, as well as trying to hide its pagan origin and current practices), atheism, and of course the false religion that schools teach of evolution.

They claim that in Islam, there has always been a continuing debate on updating, in their terminology: Ijtihad. But no Muslim group dares to challenge the limits set by Allah, the terminology is HudoodAllah. So legislators cannot and donot pass any Law against the Commandments... because in their belief the Sovereignty rests with Allah alone, sharing it is polytheism-shirk.

A religion updates itself is no longer a perfect religion.
The Messengers of God teach mankind and never the reverse.
The Baha'i Faith, established by Baha'u'llah the most recent Manifestation of God, is destined to show mankind the way to build a divine civilization throughout the world.
Then, in the process of progressive Revelation, after one thousand years or more, another Manifestation of God will appear to raise mankind to a higher civilization, and so on...

True Christianity remains the same for 2,000 years but conemporary christianity has changed drastically in the 50 years. The Bible calls it apostacy (falling away) of the end time church
2 Thess 2:3 Let no one in any way deceive you, for it will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction,

They all do to survive in the modern world and reflect modern values, otherwise we would except two goats as the price if committing adultery.

Hi. I think all religions must interpret their teachings to every new generation. It is not that they "change" themselves (their message must remain constant to be trustworthy) but they have to learn the language of their times so they can share the truth (as they understand it) in a way that can be understood. All of the great prophets spoke in a way their listeners could understand.
