I think they definitely do. You see it in the workplace very often. If a co-worker is in a pissy mood, you'll catch yourself also being crabby. It's hard sometimes to pull out of that funk.

Hmm as a Christian (this is in the religous section) I believe in original sin i.e. this world is infeted with evil. So do they BRING neg. energy , no they just increase its spreading and multiplying.
However there is MUCH to be gained by being positive in life.
Even Jesus said not to worry.
Have faith folks and God give us more of it.

yes if you are one of them. so if you observe a person is negative or trying to only concentrate of the weakness of others or the negatives of other people, avoid them. if everyone of us avoid these kind of people then they will find themselves misplaced so they will themselves change from negative to positive. bec positive people are happy and wealthy in health most in material too. being positive is contagious so have a positive atititude always from the time you wake up untill you end your day with a positive dream. good luck. :)

only in there own little worlds. everybody has the ability to make there own minds up, so if someone wants to be negative. then they must have something to be negative about. This question have brought me much negativity.

I think so. Negativity is bad feeling. It is bound to have an effect. That's why I try not to be negative, but I don't go for the polyanna type thing either. Criticism is not necessarily negativity as long as it's not intended to wound or hurt anyone.

without negative there would be no correlation between good and bad.. basicy for every super negative person.. there's someone out there who looks really positive.. i believe everthing is on a scale and it all balances out...
for example you see someone say something really mean or negative.. and basicly you think in your head "i wouldn't act that way" so it makes you act more postive... :D
