"Rainy days and Mondays always get me down." Words from a song by Karen and Richard Carpenter in the 1970s.
When it's raining, the barimetric pressure is heavier. This adversely affects many people. Rain is refreshing to a point, but constant drizzle and/or two-to-three days of rain can get to some people. When they're not at home, they can feel "out-of-sorts", "misplaced" and/or uncomfortable, or they don't feel "as snug and safe" as when they're at home.
Also, there is "seasonal depression", too. Some people can't live in rainy-season or winter climates without feeling so "blue" they can't function. This is supposedly connected to the actual physical need for more dryness and more sunlight.

Maybe because when you're young and it rains you stay at home with your family.
Maybe this doesn't happen to you because you didn't stay home a lot when it rained...
