No, the cat got curious wondering what the duck would taste like and it was the cat that killed the duck! So in a roundabout kind of way, yes curiosity killed the duck, even though it was the Cats curiosity and not the ducks!

When I see a fine woman the curiosity kills me. I think the butcher or the hunter killed the duck. Curiosity does also kill the odd cat, should it go messin around where it isn't wanted. If they're not sleeping, they are always up to something cats. They are very curious, but not as bad as George the monkey!

Yeap, it's the cat. The duck: Sucked up by a jet engine? So you could be right, if a duck was a bit too curious about a 747, it could kill him.
