He is the shopping mall magnate behind "Westfield" shopping centres and was leasing the retail areas of the WTC 7. One month or so before the attacks he magically had the bright idea to fully insure his investment against acts of terror. An unimaginably profitable coincidence? Or inside information. Your opinion?

Someone else had that coincidental idea.

Larry Silverstien

Months before 9/11 he also insured his buildings...the WTC towers for the record insurance policy of all time.

He also wanted the unusual coverage under Terrorist acts added to the clause. He made 6 billion dollars and now owns the sears tower.

After 9/11 on a pbs documentary Silverstien admitted that he made the descision to have the building "pulled". (tower 7)

Your "facts" are totally screwed up. The WTC leases were held by a man named Silverstein, who ate it big time when the insurers decided that there was just one event of loss, not two. He is still squabbling with the Port Authority about the rebuilding project.

Didn't know. Could be coincidence... after all, the WTC had been the target of terrorist attacks before.

Actually, I believe he lost an appeal to carry the insurance, as every other corporation who had officers there had to do. He thought it was a waste of money.
