You are so sweet! I hope my son puts so much thought into my present when he is your age! Cost doesn't matter it is the thought that counts! Just let it be from your heart and you will do fine! Maybe a scrapbook of your family or a day of pampering!

$50 - $100! That's one hell of a present right there. I often have trouble deciding what to get as well. I guess it depends on your actual mother. Some love the simple stuff, flowers etc but if you're looking to spend more ( as it looks like you are ) maybe go for something musical (mp3 player)? or maybe even a camera? Personally my mom likes reading...so Amazon is always good. If you come up with any ideas go on Froogle.com to compare some prices! Good luck!

I would suggest to creating a memory book .. of the two of you, growing up and include a poem .. something you actually took the time to write. Needless to say, the best kids from your kids are the ones that come from the heart.
Hugs from a Loving Mom to a Brilliant, as well as beautiful 8 year old Jared and Our Angel, Zachary (taken to soon but who will always remain in our heart) ~ Mel

Cool preparation in advance. It will help to know your Mum's interest or hobbies. If you know the little things about a person and buy something out of that thoughtfulness he or she will appreciate the gesture even more.
By the way, if she does not like cooking and a good sense of humour (even if she does the cooking), don't get her stuff related to it otherwise she'll think that you're implying that she should cook more...unless you want to compliment her on her cooking skills?

Wow, you are starting early....but that's good, good for you. It really depends on her tastes but you could always try Hallmark (store or their website), they have never steered me wrong. Ebay is good too, you can find a wide variety of stuff and can usually get good deals on items. Don't know about the age requirements for Ebay registration though. Definitely check with a Hallmark store, they got good stuff for mom's who like more ornamental stuff.

Gift certificate for a spa. She could get a massage, facial or pedicure. Anything that she would consider to pamper herself.
