When Adam and Eve were first put on this earth they were commanded to rule over, care for, the earth and that general rule still exists. The Bible also tells us that all that we need is provided for us, and the earths supplies will not run out. God also promises that the world will be habitable until He returns. We are also told that because of sin the world will be destroyed and that the only hope for man is faith is Jesus Christ who will take us out of the world before it is destroyed.
Personally I think many environment issues that many are worried about just will never be a concern except in the minds of those who do not believe in God.

I think the destruction of anything God related is kind of...bad. I don't think god created earth as a plastic toy for us to play w/ and destroy. It's more like a college fund, something beneficial for us and something to cherish.
Revelations 11:18: And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth. As far as God is concerned, degree of sin is irrelevant, because sin is still sin.
