Has Christianity, at its grass roots, become diluted through centuries of secular, power hungry individuals and nations? If this is the case, is it still possible to derive His primary teachings through the Bible, given translations from Aramaic, Latin (Vulagate), Greek and English? Is the increasingly secularity of Europe representative of this or simply cynicism of faith and spirituality because of technology?

most bibles are translated from incorrect translations of the greek septuaguint and the greek scriptures. the king james version is translated from a manuscript from the 1600's known by translaters to have mistakes and additions and deletions. the most accurate manuscripts are the masoretic manuscripts from the first or second century and contain marginal notes comparing their translations to the other manuscripts to show where they had been changed but were now corrected. from these manuscripts there have been several translations each becoming more accurately translated due to deeper understanding of the languages. the most recent translation to come from these was released in the last century and was used for translating it the scripturesi into modern english to increase understanding of it. the result is the New world translation of the holy scriptures which is used by Jehovah's witnesses.

A good question, very relavent. I would need lots of space to tell you what I think but well have to keep it short. Secularism in Europe means no religion, this cannot happen wherever there are human beings! The human mind is spiritual some realise it some do not. A person who claims to be an atheist is also spiritual.
Europe has been living in denial for some time now as far as spiritual matters go. We are told that religious and spiritual matters are for private times and should not interfere in public life. Christianity has been hijacked by established churches, who toe the line of governments. Governments in turn use the clergy of these churches to further their own agenda. Whenever the established clergy see an individual exhibiting a spiritual gift they become afraid and want to see him conform to their views. The great mystic Meister Eckhart was almost excommunicated by the church. St. Francis one of the most well loved saints of the church fought lots of battles with the established church of his day.
The church in Europe has become comfortable and is very rich it is very far from Jesus who said that ' The crows have nests and the foxes have lairs but the son of man has nowhere to lay its head' The christian message was hijacked centuries ago by power hungry churchmen, they started weaving theories around it and made it seem complex and dogmatic. There can be no simpler message than that of Jesus, we do not need theologians to teach it to us.
Now of course with so much technology around us we are told that the message of Jesus is no longer relavent. Politicians, lawmakers, beaureaucrats are in danger if people took the message of Jesus seriously!! Europe thinks that it can find all the answers through science, it will pay for it. Spiritual decline is much more serious than any threat form any terrorist! We have destroyed the family in Europe the first step to spiritual decline. The Family is the first school, the place where character is moulded. We have abdicated our responsibility to the the family to enjoy our lives. We let our parents rot in old age homes.
Yes, Europe is in serious decline, surprisingly no one can see it. Yet, all is not lost the message of Abraham, Moses, Zoroaster, Buddha, Jesus, Mohammed is still there.

Superb Question...These are rare.

I think Christianity has become fundamentally diluted. It is because of the very reasons you mentioned. Greediness, false beliefs, Misinterpretations, disobedience to the will the Lord, and so on and so forth...

I think it is posible to derive the primary teaching out of the word of God.

As far as the Europeans go they going into another dark age, a spiritual dark age. It is mostly deep cynicism on the part of not just the Europeans, but many all over the world.

Christianity has and is being diluted by education and science. Young people are being educated to a far higher level than 30 or 40 years ago. Their understanding of the world around us, the physics, biology and chemistry, has increased exponentially and they no longer need to explain everyday things through God, they can explain it through there own understanding. They are also more confident to deal with the world.

This is why the majority of church goers (in UK) are over 60 years old. It is a dying faith in Europe. Not helped, I should say, by bad press and corruption.

Why is almost everyone remarking that this is a very good question??
The question is "is it blind or justified"?
No matter how many other fancy words and references are added, the question remains the same!
And the answer must be:- All faith is blind, there is no way of proving that your faith is true to me or anyone one else, the fact that you have faith is not in doubt, as you are asking about faith in the Christian religion then no matter how many translations you have seen or however many variations there may be, the basics remain, to be a Christian you must believe that Jesus was (and is) God!
You must believe that Jesus (God) is his own Son!
You must believe that God (Jesus) is the Holy Ghost!
And if you believe in all of that then you are following the Christian faith and the teachings of Christ!
Technology doesn't really come into it, faith is faith, and if anyone really and truly believes all that 'guff' I honestly feel really sorry for them!

Good question. Even by going back 50 years you can see a definate pattern of truth being substituted for what people want to hear. W don't want to have to admit that we're living in sin, so we make up excuses and say that we and God have an "understanding". We may have changed our own standards but God still expects the same from us, and any of us who intend to go to Heaven would do well to remember that. If I understand correctly, the closest English translation is the KJV.

faith may be based on reason. by using fact of this Atheists take technological know-how and why Christians take archaeology working example very heavily. to disclaim faith is to disclaim atheists the right to have confidence in nihilism and pagans the right to have confidence in naturalism and charms. it is not merely theists who've a faith. As for good evidence that there is or isn't a God, demands whether you think the universe got here approximately with none actual beginning as Physicists are saying and which the Bible which additionally mentioned that "all issues which may be considered got here from what won't have the ability to be considered." it extremely is maximum suitable to enable human beings have the right to have confidence what they choose in a unfastened society. Atheist societies which forestall freedom of religion like Stalinist Russia, Mao's China, and secular governments of South American dictatorships and Hitler's Germany of the 20 th century- to boot at present's Burma and China actually would desire to provide us all pause for theory till now we attempt to dictate to human beings to have confidence in every person atheist, pagan or religious dogma.

now this is a question worth answering...

i agree that maybe it has become deluted, but we could not also stop or judged the new offsprings of the faith who has the courage to stand up and do what should be done..

i don't believe in Sola Scriptura, i believe scripture together with tradition... and i guess find out which translation of the bible is more close to the origina one..

maybe because of technology, since man would tend to rationalize behavir to suit his needs...
