I believe nobody can really fake happyness. I believe at some point or another people will know you are miserable. Faking it will only make things worse in the long run. If you arent happy try to do things to become happy. People cant hide their true feelings.

Why do you assume that people of religion are miserable?.. and why would you think that anyone would be so fixed on their eventual death that they would let it weigh, heavily or lightly, on their day to day mood?

I'm happy when i'm happy and when i'm not i'm not and don't fake it. But when I have to be professional at work, i don't let my personal feelings come through.
