healthy:

--peanut butter and jelly sandwiches are always good...you can make them fun by using cookie cutters and cutting out fun shapes

--small veggies (i.e. carrots, celery)

--salads are always good...less dressing the better...but dressing is okay

--cheese (string cheese, sliced cheese...american cheese is not a healthy one by the way...mozarella, cheddar...low fat is better...its not necessarily a low fat diet just healthier...it really doesnt change the taste all that much)

--juices (not from concentrate apple juice, orange juice, grape...they are all good)

--fruits (sliced apples, sliced pears, strawberries, grapes)

--cereal (cheerios is always great)

--a good milkshake besides the sugar in it is called morir sonando...its a spanish shake but is amazing...

milk
orange juice
sugar
small amount of vanilla
and cinnamon sprinkled on the top (optional)

it should be a light orange color...sugar to taste...you can give it to him without sugar if you want just to get him used to it...it still tastes okay.

--tuna sandwiches

not too healthy, just normal:

--toast with butter, honey, sugar, cinnamon...all ingredients to taste...

--macaroni and cheese

--chefboyardee

I hope this was helpful...My mother had a child late so I have a 6 year old brother and my boyfriend is a nutritionist...so I've learned a little.
My father and mother were both health fanatics.
Healthy food can taste very good you just need to get used to it...taste buds change and get used to things. Fact ;o)

here are 2 things you can try.
first, get some yogurt...whatever flavor he would like...but the lower the sugar...the better. it's awesome for his digestive system. mix in some fruits whether it be berries or cantaloupe, kiwi, red grapes..something with nutritional value. for crunch, add some unsalted peanuts and maybe even some grape nuts cereal.
second snack. try this smoothie out. use about a cup or so of orange juice, berries vanilla protein powder and maybe bananas for bulk with ice and blend.
both of these snacks are really delicious and pack powerful nutritional punches...which kids and all human beings need. if you can get him to enjoy the healthy snacks...you can ease him into a healthy way of eating all the way around....especially when he feels how energetic and alert he is from properly fueling his system.
hope this helps!

You should get him involved in preparation. Children are more likely to eat food they have had a hand in.

Use cookie cutters to cut sandwiches into cool shapes, often you can slip spinach in a cheese and turkey sandwich and get away with it if it looks fun.

Only keep healthy food in the home, toss out the junk. When he gets hungry, he will eat. Keep in mind, what satisfies you is way too much for him, he may really not be hungry.
Above all, don't stress. The more you react, the less cooperation you will get from him. He's not gonna starve, and if it eases your mind, toss him a Flintstones vitamin every morning, set his food in front of him and relax.

i don't have own kids but my fiends kids whom i see a lot eat almost everything as long there is Sponge Bob or Scooby or one of these Characters on it. As shown in a recent 20/20 where they tested preschoolers 70% of the kids would opt for a rock ( yes a Rock) over a Banana for breakfast as long as the rock had Sponge bob Stickers on it. That is also how cereal and all that sweet stuff works. just put some stickers on a zip loc bag filled with baby carrots and apple slices. it works wonders for my friends kids....

Snacks? How about small bowls of pasta and there was a chef once on Ready Steady Cook (that woman Lesley) who said that if children did not like pasta, add some beetroot juice to it and colour it an unusual colour and then they will eat it!!!! Amazing

My daughter loves her grapes! She frequently has somewhat bowl interior the morning that lasts her an hour or so. The maximum unearthly snack she's been passionate relating to the previous couple of months is ice cream cones! Yup, basic previous ice cream cones, no longer even the sugar ones! She'll consume them abode or as quickly as we are out, while she's whiny, we ask if she needs a cone and he or she'll scream thankfully "CONE!"
