No, This takes time. When you hit starvation mode you will know. Keep doing what you are doing. 1300 is a good intake, keep working out and tell me how much you weigh 9 months from now. youre not going to notice a change in a week!

Hi there...

I have gone through this phrase that you are going through. Personally i went even lower than you in calories. The funny thing was that I realised that this is a really vicious cycle.....

Let me explain....the intital idea was to lose weight right. So the logical thing to do was to cut my diet and exercise. I saw some results. I wanted more....so i cut my diet even more and exercised even harder. I saw more results and was tempted to reduce my calories even more.......but that was when I found out that 1+1 is not 2. Your body is not stupid. It can easily adjust its metabolism taking into consideration your diet and activitiy level. That's why we always face a plateau with weight loss oz the body adjusts. What we do is try to cut the diet even more but that is like adding fuel to the fire.

Once below the normal resting rate....your body starts to go into survival....it becomes more effiecient in storing and using energy which means that it will use energy for purposes that are vital like keeping your heart going and forget about the non vital ones like hair growth etc. These are really the tell tale signs of starvation but they take a while to show up. Also when you start to eat normally, the body is going to store energy like mad coz it thinks you'll need it for long periods of starvation.

In my experience, i felt that what worked was to keep my diet cyclical. Someday I would eat a little above my reating rate which by the way is around 1300 to 1500 for a female and somedays i would eat slighly below that. On average it would even out. The reason for this is that it keeps my body from detecting a fixed pattern. It will not know it is starving. This works way better. Also stop cutting the diet already. Any lower you will start to have massive cravings and once you start to binge eat....thats the start or another vicious cycle. Aviod that at all costs. What works better would be to change your eercise routine.

I suspect that you could be working hard too much and eating too little. That;s y the stop in weight loss. Either you cut down or increase you food intake. You will be surprised at the results. If i were you i would also change my workoout. If i were running all the time...i would either change the route and dificulty or try another sport like cycling or aerobic. This will shock your body and thats what you want. You do not want your body to detect a pattern and adjust itself by becoming more efficient. It is ppossible to lose weight with all the right tools and knowledge.....perseverance which you have is important too....

Hope this was useful
Cheers

Signs of starvation mode are: if your energy level drops off dramatically, your breath has a ketone smell and you feel cold all the time. You will not hit starvation mode if you are taking in 1300 calories a day. You are not being honest with yourself about the number of calories you are ingesting, not enough time has elapsed for the change to be noticable, or your caloric requirements are fairly close to the number you are taking in.

You did not specify the number of days, or what the words "a lot" actually represent. I sense that you are impatient and anxious for this to happen quickly. Effective weight loss is slow and steady, and is more likely to be successful in the long term if healthy eating and lifestyle habits are adopted for the long run, like lifetime.

Be patient, stick with it and don't weigh every day.
