The short answer is "yes". Here are the reasons why:

Your body adapts to your workouts over time. Therefore, your gains will be lessened. It knows then when you go to the gym that you plan on doing X exercises with Y reps. So it develops the muscles / energy levels to do that.

To keep your body guessing and your gains coming, change the body parts you work on, the exercises you use (use dumbbells for chest presses instead of a barbell, for instance), the order that you do them, rep / set counts (some days go heavy, others light but more reps, etc). Use drop sets, pyramiding, or rest / pauses to keep the muscles guessing.

Yes, after a few months your muscles will become much more efficient and you will not benefit as much from your workout. Change you workout routine every few months.
