what about our meritorious actions? I think religion is a kind of scale which weighs the sins and good behaviors. If good behaviors are more than sins probably you go to Heaven, if not to Hell (if they exist)

Yes all mankind is deserving of hell! And we ALL would go there if it were not for the atoning blood of Jesus Christ! We are BORN into sin, that is Y Christ (born of a virgin) had to be the sacrifice, he was perfect & sinless, & loved us with a greater love than we will ever be able to understand!

These are the pieces of the puzzle:

Romans 10:9-13 (King James Version)

9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

11For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

12For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.

13For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Ephesians 2:7-9 (New King James Version)

7 that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast.

John 14:5-7 (New King James Version)

5 Thomas said to Him, “Lord, we do not know where You are going, and how can we know the way?”
6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

The Father Revealed

7 “If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him.”

What do you think?

When Jesus came to earth and choose to die for our sins, it allowed us to enter the kingdom of Heaven, if we believe that he was the Son of God and that he died for our sins.
