Depends what you are doing with the cheese if you just want a nice lump as a snack in my opinion you can not beat extra,extra mature cheddar the type that feels like its burning your tongue when you eat it the type that is crumbly when you cut it lovely But for a nice cheese in a sandwich pre sliced German butter cheese in a sarnie with salami it is great ,not too keen on any soft mouldy type cheese

My absolute favorite to eat plain is Swiss Cheese. I loved it as a kid and always called it "mouse cheese" because it reminded me of the ones on cartoons!

I can't remember the name but it was last christmas at sainsburys, they sold a cheese in black wax, it was cheddar, it was so mature, it just crumbled to the touch it was gorgeous, im going to have to find it for this christmas too!
