Yes, we do remove them during the embalming procedure. We always clean all of their facial orifaces with a disinfectant, so yes, the contacts would surely be removed during this process. And no, we do not remove the eyes. Eyes are sometimes removed for corneal donations, but that is usually performed by a person trained in eye enucleations. Hope this helps, take care!

Probably. But only if a post mortem was being done on them. Otherwise, who's to know? It's not as if the dead guy is going to wake up and say "ooooh, these bloody lenses have been in too long and it's killing me!" A bit too late for that, I reckon.

In some cases they remove the entire eye, so I'm sure they will remove the contacts.

particular, of direction they do! have not you ever considered a zombie action picture?! they're continually stumbling around, working into issues, they of course cant see, so of course they're contacts have been bumped off!
