How devestating!!!!!!! HUGS TO YOU!!!! you can take him to the vet and have him tested for possible abuse and drugs/alcohol. Let the vet know the truth of the situation and then listen to neighborhood talk to find out who did it and sue them for damage to private property, animal cruelty( ASPCA would actually charge them and they would have to pay for it!) and any thing else you can. Let me at them, They would never touch another animal ever again!!! HUGS TO YOU !!!!

I am so sorry.
Where I live, (Small city USA) the police will treat the death of an animal like nothing. I doubt if they would respond to a call.
I assume these kids have no proper parental supervision? Talking to mom or dad is a lost cause? Is there a neighborhood watch?
Maybe it is time for one?
It will be very hard to prove who murdered poor Charlie. I suggest you not spend the money on a autopsy.

A vet will do an autopsy. So sorry that happened, there are so many evil people out there that is why another good reason to keep a cat indsoors weather or not the cat likes it. It is for their own good. Did someone want to hurt you for some reason and take it out on Charlie? I am really sorry. If anyone hurt any one of my babies, I would hurt them in a way that they will never recover. God Bless.

I am SO sorry for you. I know what it is like to lose a beloved pet. They are members of the family and the grieving process is just as intense as if you'd lost a parent or sibling.

I would go the police though. Even if they can't catch the culprits, they would want to be able to log the offence and maybe be able to do something about it in the future. This won't help you I know, but you might be helping others at a future date.

Now go and have a good cry and perhaps a little funeral in the garden. I shall be thinking of you all day.

I'm so sorry about Charlie. It's awful to lose a pet at any time, but so much worse if you think he may have been deliberately harmed.

If you are serious about finding out what happened to him, you need to get a post mortem done on him. Your local vet may do one for you. A warning though (and I'm sorry for how blunt this sounds, but I think it needs to be said)- a full post mortem isn't pretty- we tend to conduct pm's on animals rather differently to the way they're done on people. If you are wanting to bury him, go ahead and do it because you probably won't be able to if you have a pm done (unless you plan to also have him cremated).

Even though you don't know anything for sure, it's probably worth just briefly reporting it to your local police, though from what you've said, these kids sound like the types that are probably already well known to the police.

Again, I'm sorry for your loss. I hope you can come to a decision about what you want to do.

Too undesirable about the girl. i'm not taken aback. quite some stay shows get out of hand. The live performance promoters must have had a lot extra law enforcement officials obtainable. i have in basic terms lengthy previous to at least a million live performance and the chaos is too a lot. he receives sued, the city and live performance hall also. you in basic terms prefer to be positive he develop into easily going 40 5 mph, write down each and every thing you may save in concepts, (court docket will be a lengthy time period from now.) Write down what the guy did, stated, how the girl were given hit, and so on. you'd be an staggering witness and a paper path might want to really help you save in concepts. The adverse lady, i could not imagine having an staggering evening at a live performance and then it finally ends up like that. Her pals might want to be freaked out.

So sorry to hear that, it is so sad to lose a pet. If I were you I would want to find out what happened to Charlie. Do some research and ask some questions and if you find out who it is lay a charge on them. Some community work for these awful kids would do them good. It makes me so angry to think about kids hurting animals.

Oh how horrible for you. I am so sorry. If you think it was killed (blood or cuts on the body) you should make a police report. But I don't really think they can do anything.

Some people say buy another cat to get over Charlie, but when my darling kim died, I could never ever replace her. She was a one and only!

Sorry for your sorrow.

I am so sorry to hear about your cat; I can understand how you feel. I think you should bring Charlie to the vet to see if they can identify what happened. If you suspect foul play then file a police report. Yobs on estates can make life miserable for everybody else - there's no easy answer to that one.

sorry to hear that I would make very sure that you keep a close eye on your dog...................

to find out what he died of would require a vet to check him over and that will cost you, unless you actually saw them do anything to your cat last night then the police are really not going to do much to be honest if they wont move along a group of kids drinking under age and ruining the area they are hardly likely to come sirens blaring for a dead cat, I am taking it that you live in the UK and unless the law has changed then if you run a cat over then you dont even have to stop, due to the feral laws etc etc, so maybe she got hit by a car roaming around and dragged herself back home...........

Just wanted to let you know how sorry I am. I can imagine how painful it would be to lose someone you love especially if his death wasn't an accident. I agree with the above posters who suggested taking him to the vet to determine the cause of death and calling the police to make a report. I suggest first going to the vet and then going to the police depending on if the vet thinks he was deliberately killed (murdered?) I want you to know that I wish you the best, and I sincerely hope if the neighborhood kids were involved in this, that they are punished.
