Hi Peter Pan,
Sawie's answer is correct. As long as you have a Pet Passport and the relevant vaccination documentation then your dog will not need to be quarantined. Dogs do not need a licence in the UK.
I would also like to say that you should ignore the uninformed right-wing idiots that are saying you are not welcome. The UK in actually under-populated and has an aging population. I hope you enjoy your stay in the UK and do not meet with any of the bigotted comments that have been made here. Judging by your use of proper grammer, you are obviously far more educated than these people.
Good Luck

This website will give you the information regarding bringing your pet into UK. Its sounds like you have prepared well.

Quarantine regulation have changed a lot since the inception of pet passport, micro chipping and the department above will assist you with questions.
People now travel to UK from worldwide bringing their dogs for shows such as Crufts and with the right paperwork, and innoculations. microchipping have no need to quarantine the dog for 6 months.
In UK we used to have to pay a very small fee for a dog licence, but this is no longer a requirement for a dog, and was abolished many years ago.
Good luck

Hello,
Did you have the Rabies test done? Blood is taken from your dog to test his antibody agains rabies. Once this is done your dog is allowed into the UK only after 6 months have passed from the blood being taken.
I took my dog from England when we moved and I have just had her blood taken so we can take her back to visit, even though she is from the UK we still have to wait the 6 months to make sure she is ok!
Good Luck.

You must have your dog processed, the animal has to be kept in a Government approved kennel while this happens - it can cost approx £800.00 per week, and usually takes 6 months.
