As in, the closest speed to the posted limit you've been ticketed for. Any outrageously unfair ones? Like within a few miles over the limit?

I personally have had two, both for 15 over. My uncle, however, got one for two miles over. This was in a small town near my house...where we now always drive at least three miles under, just in case.

Based on my own and friends' experiences with traffic court in Maryland they don't write tickets for anything less than 10 miles over the limit. In fact, they are nice to many people and give them warnings or give a ticket that lists a speed that is less than what you were actually driving. I got pulled over doing 60 in a 35 zone but only got a warning.

Speeding tickets really do get a bad rap placed on them. Think about this. For as many who dislike them they serve a good purpose in our lives such as, there are those who care about us ,and others who do not like the job of pulling our mangled bodies out between metals or glass or even cleaning it up from the pavement,dirt and such. But it is often the immortal thinking when we overlook the body we live in that makes such a statement of complaint.There are certain forms of speed that are required and others that are pure foolishness. ,and in the end one might say. Who was that person I never met.

i dont know about close but i got one a long time ago in a 79 trans am. 110 mph in a 45. the cop said "do you know how fast you were going?" i said " i was going so fast i was afraid to look at the speedo".

I GOT STOPPED FOR GOING 2 MPH UNDER POSTED LIMIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NO TICKET BUT JUST WARNING. WARNING FOR WHAT, I HAVE NO IDEA. THOSE STUPID COPS JUST DO THAT SH1T TO HARRASS PEOPLE.
