walking, running, inline skating, kayaking, and biking. There's lots more than that.

I travel a lot and have to work very hard to get exercise into my schedule. I do not belong to a gym but here are some of the things that I do:
Taebo DVD - I have several and can use in my laptop on the road and workout in the hotel room.
I have a bike that I tried to go for bike ride three times a week
I lift weights three times a week (I got my weight bench free - nice one www.freecycle.org)
Walking - spend 20 -60 minutes walking whenever I am (airport, neighborhood) couple of times a week
Dancing - fun does not feel like exercise

One of the best exercises is swimming. You don't need a pool, just long enough to do some laps, even walking in water or running in place is great. Swimming burns around 500 calories and hour. They make water weights to do exercises too. Now this will not build a lot of muscle, if that is what you are looking for, but it will burn fat and tone the muscle you have. Also using fins, and zoomers (paddles that fit on your hands) will also help you build up muscle, and it is cool to see how fast you go in the water with those. If you have access to an ocean, you can snorkel for hours with tons to see and you won't even realize how far you have swam. Good luck in reaching your goals, I hope this helps.

For cardio you have running, swimming, walking, cycling or anything that gets your heart pumping.
For strength and stamina you can do push ups, sit up, tricep dips and all sorts of things at home for free.
You can always try martial arts, you get a bit of everything and you get really flexible aside from the other benifits (I do a couple of arts and I always feel like I get a good workout)
A friend of mine is a climber and he's in great shape so thats something to consider.
