It is a plus - you will see when you do it.. Wazing would last longer and stay smoother but shaving is less painful and more convenient I guess for most.. Takes away any odors since hair holds odor in, feels good for sex :o) and I just love it like that - and all men do too... or women -depending on what you are into.

I would shave around a patch though - like a racing strip or even a upside down triangle or just a little patch - people do hearts too - hahaha... you can leave some- but just trim the rest of it really tight. Make sure you get all around --- everrrrywhere :o)

Heat the area up first - do it in the shower (much easier)- will open pores and shave better. You can hold a warm-hot washcloth there for a few minutes first. You may want to trum the hair first so it is less to shave and you can see better - I am not thick there at all but I know some women are so you should trim first if this applies to you. Just use a sensitive skin shaving cream and a good razor. You can also mix a body oil (like Neutrogena body oil) with the shaving cream so it is really smooth. When you are done, you can use some body oil or even baby oil on the area for moisture and to avoid irritation. You can also put on an after shave lotion before the oil if you want to - for sensitive skin. The first time and first few times may be uncomfortable somewhat or itchy but that will go away - if it is bad, use some baby powder but it never bothered me.
happy shaving :o) You will be happy that you did it..

Dont Shave!!! I shaved for a long time, and delt with razor burn, and the bumps and itching... then I discovered waxing. Its wonderful, for just a little bit of pain, you're good for 2-3 weeks, and you don't have to worry about it, where as shaving is every 2-3 days! Plus it gets less and less painful the more you do it, and grows back finer. And don't be worried about someone seeing down there, everyone I have been to has been very professional, its what they do for a living. If you do shave, use a fresh razor as often as you can, and shave with the hair not against it, that will decrease irritation. I have also heard that putting deodorant on after prevents/reduces ingrown hairs. Hope this was helpful!

I've been told that it improves sex by some women and that they can feel more. There are shaving creams on the market made for it. As a guy, it's much better shaved or at least trimmed when performing oral.

If you are going to shave: advice is to stand in shower under hot water for several minutes and use shaving cream to avoid shaving burn (bumps). Only advantage that I know is it looks neater

BEWARE - It itches like crazy growing back in

Take my word for it, wax, don't shave. Waxing might hurt, but you will get the itchiest, worst regrowth and ingrown hairs if you shave.

I've never seen a vagina with hair in it. Is this something new? Was it discovered by a doctor while doing pap smears?

Waxing is better than shaving but it is a lot more expensive.
