Try 30-60 minutes a day. Focus on cardio at first, then start lifting weights.

there is no easy way to get rid of your fat, you will have to feel the burn.
in your diet reduce carbohydrates (like bread, rice, flour, sugar) , fats, Increase fruits in your diet,(avoid highly sweet fruits like mango, Apple, banana, dates etc.) preferably go for citrus fruits.
Starving yourself is not the way, but you will have to bear some hunger initially.
Exercise is also a must, running is the best exercise, or any other aerobic exercise, at least 40-50 minuets per day of rigorous exercise is a must,
most importantly set goals for your self, example like you could set a goal to loose a pound within two weeks, and then stick to it. initially it Will be frustrating but soon you will start to enjoy it.

Can not speak for diet, but moderation is a good idea. But for exercise jogging is aways good, but only if you can get your heart rate up to about to 85% in your case that would be around 150bpm. hit that mark every time you exercise, and you will loss weight.

well my friend welcome to the club. I used to weigh 208 lbs back in April of this year. I have totally rededicated myself and motivated myself to lose exactly the amount of weight I wanted to lose. You have to focus on muscle resistance training and nutrition. 5-6 small meals every 2-1/2 hours. Basic food groups(fish or chicken, veggies, potatoes/pasta, fruits, lots of water and rest) Exercise should consist of 6 workouts per week with cardio in the afternoon. Breakdown you workouts to one specific muscle group per day. Start with Monday(chest/shoulder-heavy)Tue(back and biceps-light)Wed(legs-heavy) Thur(chest/shoulder-light) Fri(back and biceps-heavy) Sat(legs-light) Sunday(day off) make sure you get enough sleep and by February you will be ripped.
