I see all these kids at school who smoke and yet they still have white teeth and good skin. I see people who are older that are the same way too. When I was a smoker I had bad skin and yellow teeth. Alot of the movie stars smoke too (why do so many smoke?) THey still look great. I guess they probably have special make up artists and they get those vinirs for teeth(can't remember how you spell it). Does smoking just not effect some people noticeably anyway? Would you say they atleast still have bad breath and not as much energy as a non-smoker?

You know it is not only smoking that can affect the color of our teeth, other causes are normal food (like blueberries) and drinks (such as coffee, tea and wine) we take, radiation and chemotherapy treatments, a number of medications... and will you believe, at times, it is just in our genes (tried checking your parents' teeth color?).
Just the same, aside from being movie stars themselves who need to maintain a good upfront, those people you envy have probably been using the many over-the-counter toothpastes, gels and strips that can help brighten/whiten our teeth and eliminate bad breath/mouth diseases caused by smoking. There are also several procedures that our dentists can perform to remove stains and discoloration from our not-so-pearly whites that those movie stars can pay for.
The best thing you can do is to brush and floss regularly -- especially after eating or drinking something known to stain teeth. The many whitening toothpastes may help by exfoliating the teeth and removing food particles that cause stains. In time, you'll have as whiter teeth as they do. =)

Smokers can't breathe as good as a non smoker, but as far as the yellow teeth thing, you need to brush more and possibly use Crest Night effects. It is a teeth whitener. I used to use that when I was a smoker and my teeth were always white. Flossing can also get all the old smoke out of your gums and take away from the bad breath. As far as skin, I think it makes you age faster but most of it is just how you skin is...some people are luckier than others.

I think smoking's not as bad as the health nazis want us to believe. Lots of people smoke and don't have bad skin or yellow teeth. I've smoked for 10 years and still get carded sometimes because I look so young (I'm 24). I also don't think it makes you have less energy. If anything, it gives you more energy as nicotine is a stimulant.

Smoking effects everyone in some way, western dude...you are a young buck give it 10 more years...i'm 29 and I can not breathe at all...I'm on my 11th attempt to quit and if my breathing wasn't so bad, I wouldn't even be trying to quit. Smoking is gross, makes you stink and KILLS (oh i miss it!)
