God is the true enlightenment. put your faith in him and you will see the world a new way. your eyes will be opened.

Well, we all seek different paths to enlightenment. Who is to say that a Christian is better than a Jew or that a Buddhist is better than a Hindu or Baha'i or that it is wrong to be a Druze which is Islamic even though some don't know what it is or don't like it?

the Rationalists have tried that..
We can't stop global warming through prayer.
We can't divert a hurricane with prayer.
We can't win football games by the grace of god(it would be cheating if these people are using god's help)
We rationalists know that nothing will ever get done for this earth if we put our faith and hope in God. Hope does not stop poverty. Hope does not prevent an earthquake. Prayer cannot provide assisstance to millions of people who are affected by the Tsunami.
We have to make it happen for our human race instead of taking a lazy approach to life. If god had a divine plan for you, and for you to be in heaven with him, wouldn't he just have created you automatically into heaven?
think logically, rationally, and reasonably, but never think delusionally!

Well, enlightenment's been talked about for at least 2500 years, back to Siddhartha Gautama. It's not really a recent development.

Placing faith in something is pretty much the polar opposite of enlightenment.
Open your eyes... and you will understand what God truly is.
