my fiances parents are divorced and his dad is recently remarried. How do we tell him that he is not invited to stay? we want him to come to the wedding, but it would not work out having him stay in the cabin with his mom there. help!

I don't understand why you would invite one parent and not the other. I'm sure that everyone would have separate rooms and could be at the very least civil and polite during the wedding. Why should your fiance's mother be allowed to stay but not his father? I think that if most of the guests are invited to stay with you, but not his father - then he would probably be offended. You should try to make arrangements so his father can stay there too - put his parents in rooms that are furthest away from each other. If it's really such a big problem, you and your fiance should ASK his father if he would be okay with staying at an adjacent cabin or hotel. And you should pay for it.

It's hard to have one parent be allowed to stay and not the other; your fiancee will probably be in the middle of a sticky situation. Just tell him that there was only so much room for other guests to be abelt to stay with you, and that it's all taken up. maybe you guys can help him make reservations somewhere nearby to compensate.

His dad should understand that this is yours and your husband day. He should respect your wishes and it should not be an issue...Is there any place close that they can stay.

Just be honest. Offer to pay for a hotel/motel room for them.
