If you lived in the Central Valley You'd know what goes on here. Since you most likey don't , Our schools are all mexican.. The teachers talk to all the students in Spanish / Mexican first. Then english. I don't have to put up with that... But I'm the bad person for saying so, a friend of my dads was well qualified to get a job at State University and was bumped out for a Mexican woman that was less educated and under trained for the job and got it. The head of student services said we don't want any negitive feed back from the state about not hiring them. you understand. Well I have to apologize. To everyone that answered my questions, It's not the Mexicans, It's our goverment that allows this to happen. As for my facts I guess I was just hearing what I thought I heard and went with it not fully checking things out and I'm sorry. I did learn from from the answers that were given I'll make sure my facts are right. Measha

Welcome to a free democratic country.
The essence of democracy is that the majority makes the decisions. Whether directly or through elected representatives, the majority gets to set the rules as long as they don't violate the constitution.
The majority of people in that region speak Spanish. So, the rules abide by the majority decision. That's the way democracy works.
It's truly sad that we are so gung-ho about spreading democracy and freedom to other countries, but we object when it is practiced here at home.

I live in the Willamette Valley in Oregon, just up I-5 from the central valley in California. Every year we see more and more illegals, all of our schools have hispanisized, as well as a large portion of the shops in town.
They're coming up the freeway from California and Mexico, it's like watching the sewer backing up out through the toilet and coating the whole place in crap. The only plumbers are government workers, and as we all know, they've got their thumbs up their asses.

In your case, then I don't think that you're a bad person for that at all. In fact you at least have a reason and back it up the best that you can. Most of the questions like this one posted here are ignorant and hateful. I usually save my wrath for those kind of questions.

I understand... I don't live close to there any longer, but CA is crazy and has gone off the deep end with t e ILLEGAL issue... I left because I was tired of paying for services that ILLEGALS got to use for free and yet deserving citizens could not get.
