Is the meat tender or tough?

Man has made almost anything edible !
But one has to seriously look within. Is it a question of survival ?
Then the question of a poor camel being edible becomes very relevant.
If survival is not dependent on just the camel, then the obvious relevant question is what is our food(human food) !
Well, the structure of teeth, digestive system etc, clearly seems to point towards Vegetarian diet.
It is the choice of humans (unlike other living beings) to have any food (by making it edible, cooking meat etc) !
In the process, the body gets tuned to that kind of food and acquires that kind of behavioral tendencies !
The choice is ours !

Quality of the meat depends on how they've been living or been used. Pack camels at end of life are really tough and gamey.

I'd say if you cook it in the crock pot on low, it will eventually become tender, even if it starts out tough. Shred it first. Why? you planning on eating one?

I don't know...there are no camels here in Michigan (other than in zoo's). I think if a person is hungry enough he'll eat almost anything.
