If you would look at the amount of money a military member is paid, you would see immediately that the government does indeed count the benefits as income and reduce pay accordingly. The same job in the civilian world will always pay a great deal more.

It's all for your benefit right? So it's considered pay. If you live off post they give you BAH. They give you BAS so you can eat. Healthcare generally isn't free. Usually you pay for the insurance and then you have co pays and deductibles. Tricare prime you have babies, surgeries they are free.
So yes, it's all considered pay.

In the military, anything that you receive free (equipment, food, clothing, health care, housing, etc.) is considered part of your pay.

yes, look on an LES. Food is seperate-rats-BAS. Housing is listed as BAQ or Bah (depening on Branch) And healthcare is actually withheld for dependents same as any other Job.

Yes, if you are active duty. You get paid accordingly. Food as pay... don't think so, but, like I said, you are paid to suit your current pay grade.

WTF you do to go to leavenworth?
I was in the military. As a whole its a great institution, but often individual people have the power to railroad you into nothing. I learned the hard way that when you are in the military you didn't see **** and you don't know what happened.

THE MILITARY CAN DO WHAT IT WANT TO .THEY HAVE THERE OWN SET OF RULES. AND MAN DON'T BRAKE THEM I SPENT 5 YRS IN A MILITARY PRISON IN KANSAS AND THAT WAS THE HARDEST TIME I EVER WANT TO SEE AGAIN .
