when an old person dies is it like falling asleep? or is it painful?
when old people die in a hospital bed in movies they dont seem to be in pain, but usually try to cling on to life and have trouble saying their final words as if they were out of breath.

I suppose it would depend on how a person died, as to what it felt like.

First of all no person has lived to explain it. I will say this. I have a heart condition they call Antrial Fibulation. It is like a skipped beat, but more serious. I had it so bad that when you are in A-Fib as they call it the long pause between beats lets the blood back up into the upper chamber and can cause "clots" which in turn can cause a stroke, or cause a "clot" in your lungs, hence death.

What I am trying to say that when A-Fib is at it's worse and you get up and your blood pressure will drop dramatically and you will pass out. You will have no recollection of "passing out".

If dying is like I have experienced three times, passing out there is nothing to dying. One time I woke up on the kitchen floor. I have no idea how long I was there. I do not even remember getting off the couch...

Dying is something everyone faces alone.

Heart stops, breathing stops = clinically dead. You can be revived with CPR. Once the force of life departs, there is nothing anyone can do ...except God.

As for the pain...
Some deaths are incredibly painful, like being devoured by a beast or shark... others are almost instantaneous like a massive heart attack or aneurysm.

No one on this earth can answer that.

There are people who have had a NDE or Near Death Experience. Read some books about NDE's, that's as close as you can get.
