How have recent terrorist activities affected the way North Americans look at immigrants or visible minorities?

To some extent.

However I think the effects on attitudes post 9/11 have largely been exaggerated. Illegal immigration has been an issue for decades.

Sadly visible minorities have always had a few problems. I do think they were worse about 40 years ago than they are now, and that bears no relation to recent terrorist activities.

We didn't want them coming here in the first place.
But they did, and started bringing in TV, highways, air pollution and wars along with their disease.

A real "North American"
