Normal blood pressure is generally considered to be around 120/80. The definition of high blood pressure begins at 140/90 so anything below that is normal. You can have elevations in either number and have high blood pressure ie 152/80 or 130/100. The diagnosis should not be based on a single reading but rather a consistent pattern such as a 5 day blood pressure check where it is checked at least once a day for 5 days.Low blood pressure ie 90/55 is only a concern if you have symptoms of dizziness/lightheadedness, fainting, chest pain. There are some exceptions to these blood pressure goals in people with specific medical conditions. There are differences in blood pressure between men and women but the above goals are the same.
To answer your question, your blood pressure should be less than 140/90 and high enough to prevent any of the symptoms I mentioned.

3 years ago, I was diagnosed - hypertension with a reading of 160/100. I used to feel dizzy a lot, my legs had awful cramps, and levels were very low in my potassium, causing my fingers and toes to always cramp together. One day I started to feel really faint while I was driving with my daughter in the back seat and I passed out, hitting 3 cars and ending up in a ditch. That moment,I knew I had to do something because my meds weren't working. I heard about this diet from a friend and thought I'd give it a shot. The results have been remarkable. In just 21 days, I honestly can't remember feeling this good, my blood pressure went from 175/110 to 125/70.

There is a national standard for blood pressure readings, and treatments that we follow.
BP we strive for our patients to have is about 110/70
Then above 120/80 we start to implement changes
changes in diet/exercise are first
then the medications.
The BP are same for men and women.

Normal BP should be 120/80. If low BP exceeds, he will become anemic. BP reading between man and woman varies on their health condition.

Blood pressure slightly differs for men and women, however, we see the average as 120/80.... u are concerned about low BP....how low does ur BP goes...it would be something to be of concern if it goes down to...>90/60...at ur age...what other symptoms u have...feeling faint?...light headed? make sure u see ur own doctor so he can examine u further and request any additional test that will find out what causes ur hypotension.

The average systolic blood pressure of a man is his age plus 100, for a woman it is her age plus 95. The normal range for an adult is 90-150/60-90. (according to the Emergency Care training book for EMTs).
Depending on your weight, body fat count, muscle mass, and general health, if your blood pressure is low, check with your doctor.
