personally, i hate games and mind games.
but u can try to make him jealous to see how he reacts. try haning around and talking about other guys a lot. drives guys insane if they love you.
i dont think u need to be reassured if he really loves you. if he seems like he means it, then his word is enough.
does he do romantic things 4 you? does he compliment you? all stuff that shows his care.
just dont go overboard. but i think you guys are safe. dont worry, just see how he is around you. its not hard.

Well, you can ask him hypothetical questions like ;;
"What would you ever do if someone tried to take me away from you?"
Something like that to show how much he really cares. A guy isn't going to be completely open about his feelings, they mostly try to keep it inside until they really know you won't hurt them. So if a guy tells you right away "I LOVE YOU!", he doesn't. And if he's the one spouting the "I Love You"'s, then maybe he's just trying to get something from you.
A really great way to find out is just to let things go as they will. See how far things go and what he's willing to do for you. Someone who really loves you will do pretty much do anything for you.

ask him to buy u smth expensive - diamond ring or a fur coat or a car - in that case even if he doesn't yet he will have to. if he refuses to buy a nice present for u - the answer is clear - he doesn't want to spend money on u, it mean he doesn't love u

If you don't trust him when he says it, then you need to break it off now, because you will never trust anything that he says. Give the guy a break, if he is telling you that, then I would imagine that he does...
