Hair loss can be from many things. Stress, pregnancy, anorexia/bulemia. If your doctor suggests rogaine, you should try it. Some people lose their hair at young ages.

ok - i am not sure whether your doctor told you about alopecia - but there is a condition that can make people lose their hair. that is likely why he would have proscribed the rogeine for women, as sufferers of alopecia are some of the people it is targeted at.

pantene could be a problem, as it coats your hair with silicone and can make it very heavy. while it might look nice in the short term, in the long term it can cause your hair to break off because of the silicone coating. almost any hairdresser will tell you that you should never use pantene, and some will not colour hair that has had pantene used in it.

look into alopecia and see whether that might give you some information on what you are going through. also, ensure that you have a healthy diet and things too - as the health of our hair and skin often reflects our inner health.

this is probably a pretty scary thing for you to go through - but maybe your body is just going through some hormonal changes. talk to your doctor a bit more, and good luck.

I'm not sure about this, but i was told that pantene pro v can cause allergic reactions that can cause u to lose ur hair. Try switching to something else. Dove is really good because it is more pure than others. If that doesnt work try mixing some rogaine shampoo in with your shampoo if you are embarrased about having to use it. I know that i can't use pantene because the same thing happened to me.

My older sister had the identical challenge. She was once simply particularly burdened. She obtained some drugs that made her not so harassed, took a nap a day for every week and did not go swimming for a whilst and he or she was once excellent. If you're finding out difficult, and doing yet another activity or some thing else which makes you anxious or careworn, perhaps you need to discontinue doing that. In time it may mostly support itself. In the intervening time, do what the doc says! He is aware of what he is speaking about-- at the least i'm hoping you are going to a professional physician who DOES know what he is speakme about.... Anyways, do not worry too much about it. Just chill out. Throw in a Jason Mraz/Teddy Geiger cd, get comfortable, installed a movie and pig out! Once, I used to be heartbroken... Then I fell in love, with two men-- Ben and Jerry.

I used to lose a lot of hair when I was 16. It turned out I just couldn't grow my hair that long. Long hair is heavy and that might be a reason. Also, Rogiene is not a bad idea. My mom started to lose her hair when she turned 40. She used Rogiene for about a year and her hair started to grow back normally. She is now 57 and has better hair than I do and I'm only 21!

I would suggest to stop using rogain if your loosing your hair that might be the problem. And if your not using rogain use a different Shampoo besides Pantene it's for women who have thick hair or allot.Switch to a shampoo that gives you volume and go and tell your Dr. it's getting worse

Your doctor seemed quick to associate the hair loss with a scalp problem. But, your loss could be resulting from something else...are you stressed out? Taking a new prescription? And If the answer to both of these is NO...then seek another doctor. 18 is too young to suffer hair loss associated with aging.
