If you cannot afford to purchase an animal, you cannot afford to look after it. Pets are expensive, the purchase price is the least of it.

Try your local humane society. They have all kinds of pets for adoption, as long as you meet the criteria. (fences etc.)

If their "donation" is too much for you to afford, you can also look in the ads in the papers for "free to good home" ads.

P.S. If the donation fee is going to be a problem? You might want to re-think having a pet. They can get expensive. Food, shots, checkups, accidents, illnesses.

Good luck with your search. I hope you find a baby to love.

Just because you have a few accessories needed for a pet does not mean you should get one, in fact by how you stated your question I really dont think you should get either.

keeping a pet dog would be better...birds are meant to be free and not to be caged up. please consider this. thanks!
