my mom used to say that and it drove me nuts, she'd say "I'm so bored with food, it doesn't mean anything, etc." but now that I'm older I find myself thinking it, too. I don't say it in front of my kids because I don't want them to be influenced by what I say. When I cook an AMAZING dinner, I'm not tired of food, but just day-to-day eating, I wish there was like a perfectly balanced bar or shake that we could eat and know we were getting enough nutrition. Meh, food.

I do.

Some times I wonder if the energy spent on munching something is greater than the energy gained by eating it.

I only grasp the whole concept of enjoying food very rarely when I happen to find something unusually palatable. But most of the time, I think food is just a necessary evil.

Yet some people make such a ritualistic spectacle out of consuming food or events based around food. Why do we have to have business meetings over lunch? Why do dates have to be over dinner? Maybe it evolved into us when there wasn't much food around in this world and now that we do we are just going out of control.

I do, too. I enjoy eating- just alittle more than I enjoy going to the bathroom. It's not like I don't like food, it's just that there are so many other, more interesting things to DO- than sitting around & thinking of new ways & places to stuff my face. In a World where so many people are starving- there seems to me something inherently WRONG with a country that spends so much money on too much food- and THEN so much money on so many diets & exersize plans- to lose what we overeat...

Food is overrated. I have to agree, I get tired of it as well.

What I really hate to do is cook - man that sucks!
I used to work in a professional kitchen.
I just don't like to cook anymore.

My favorite dish?
The one that's handed to me!

One has to maintain a discrete balance in everything in life, and that includes eating practices. Balance, by the way, is another name for God / Nature!

i hate eating but we have to, to live. i have really bad stomache problems so before i eat ANYTHING i always think to myself "boy would i feel better on an empty stomache or a full one?" empty feels better but if i don't eat i'll eventually die. :P
