wean him off formula. Try mixing a little bit of whole milk with the formula, gradually at a time, until he has inquired the taste for cows milk. Give him time on eating real food. As long as you offer it, he'll be fine. Eventually he will be eating steaks!

After the 1st year a bottle is a no!no! Theres bottles with little openings on the side and formula especially for 2 year olds and above. These formulars have fibre and are especially made for this stage of development. The bottle will side openings like a cup is sensitive enough for their gums, helps strengthen gums and prepares a child to learn to use a proper cup.
Bottle feeding can cause teeth deterioration and doesn't develops the child's gums and jaw to handle solid food. The child at this age their stomach and body need roughage to develop an ability to handle solid food.
Theres tasty prepared meals for toddlers like pumpkin, apples which are absolutely delicious and no child can reject.
As for the advice of cows milk. It is best to keep children away from cows milk until there 5 or 6 years cows so that they don't develop an allergy against it and anyway! Cows milk has no roughage. Theres milk which formulars which are age appropriate and have no allergens.
Check websites of child nutrition providers. I would suggest Nestle-website.

Formula isn't nutrition for a 2 year old. Most 2 year olds don't eat a ton of food and when they do it seems like it's a lot of one type of food. At his age you should be giving him Pediasure for added nutrition if you feel his intake isn't enough. You should also be discussing concerns with his Pediatrician. If you had, you would know a bottle and formula are not appropriate. Buy him a sippy cup if you have to.

No honey its not sensible sweetheart give him or her some hole milk in a cup formula isn't a good idea and if he doesn't like whole milk try the formula inside of the cup or some pedialite just work with get ten him off the bottle with it because some elderly and some older people still drink it.So just work on that bottle issue.

A two year old should absolutely not be still on a bottle it will decay his teeth. A baby of 10 months can drink from a glass. You are making it too easy for him to remain a baby. Is he potty trained yet since that usually goes hand in hand with taking away the bottle. Your child needs to eat solid foods on a daily basis. Most small children will eat carrot strips, grapes cut in half ( never feed them whole to a young child they are too dangerous for choking) Now is the time for him to learn proper nutrition or he will become overweight and have a life long struggle with it. Most little kids enjoy peas fresh or frozen cooked ones are the best. If you give them canned ones they may hate them for life. My kids all hated canned baby food so we started off with things like mashed potatoes, small pieces of cooked carrots, cooked peas and a little later corn on the cob.

I gave my boy toddler formula when he was 2 with cows milk. It has the appropriate vitamins for his age and tastes like a vanilla milkshake. Dont use baby formula it wont do anything for him now. You have to introduce different types of solids throught the day as he cant only live on liquids. Ask the Doctor to see that he doesnt have tonsilitis which may be making it hard for him to swallow. Good Luck.

I wouldn't give a 2 yr old a bottle to begin with. Second of all try to switch to pediasure. It will meet his nutrition needs better than formula at this age. Is he atleast getting the older kid formula? And try to encourage him to eat more solid foods. He may like to graze. Have a little tray out with some healthy finger foods on it for him to try.

I imagine by 2 the formula shouldn't be part of his diet, but before you listen to any of us, why don't you just ask your pediatrician. Maybe change some of the foods your serving him. There are alot of parent web sites you could look up, I have because my daughter will have a baby in Feb. and I have found all kinds of information. Everything from sleep habits, tips, developement etc. If your son is really not eating much, definitly ask the doctor!

it takes 2 hard weeks to get your child to eat food during the day he's body needs the goodness from all the food your son also needs to learn how to break the food down in ghis body by not giving it to him is not helping him
to much milk in his diet is bad for him it an cause the runs and to be sick his body does not get enough natural nutrients from plants and meat
at the age of 2 years old your child should in fact be on one bottle a day with 120 mls of cows milk and that is it introduce water and juices vegtables and fruit do u want your son to be healthy or no it is only breaking a habbit

For his nutrition, he needs more solid foods. Incorporate a meal time, so he gets used to eating. Try not to give him formula...use the bottle for juices and milk and water.

Okay, ignore those people...Now a days there are a larger range of formula for children AT MANY AGES. The nutrional milk your giving to top him up on what he may have missed out on is a wonderful idea, i do it also!! But he only has 1 and thats as he's going to bed...You do what you feel is right for YOUR baby and dont let anyone make you feel bad for it.
