This would involve making a subcutaneous incision, which is where they use a sharp instrument below the skin to make an incision where the lower skin layers meets the fatty tissue. When this incision tries to heal the overlying tissue will reattach to the deeper layers causing a slight depression, which would appear as a dimple. HTH : )
