dont be scared ,if u pulled a muscle it should not effect ur lungs. how may Tylenol did u take, and how long did u wait for it to start working it's way. if u took the pill about a hour ago it should start to help ease the pain. ( do not take more than 2 )
and yes you could have damage some muscle back there by lifiting heavy things. and u dont trouble breathing
it's the pain becuse your upper body moves a little when ur breathing, put ur hand un your shoulder blades breath do you feel them move. if the pain move to your chestal area still dont panic, it's nothing to be afaird of but if the pain is too much go to a doctor he will give u some stronger pill, and what is a girl like you doing lifting heavy thing!!!

From your description of the pain, I would guess it is a subluxation (misaligned vertebra) that could be pinching or irritating a nerve. Aside from being pretty uncomfortable as you've described, a subluxation isn't anything to be too worried about as long as you get it treated in the next few days. If you were doing heavy lifting, it may have been the cause of it. Treating a subluxation is nothing scary either, and can usually be taken care of in one visit. Ask around to see if anyone recommends any certain chiropractor in your area over others. The site below has an animation and information to give a better idea of what subluxation is, and how its treated. Good luck and I hope you're feeling better soon.

I had the same thing in both shoulders. It was from lifting a heavy piece of furniture. It was scary though because the symptoms didn't start until a week after the lifting. I thought I was having a heart attack. Three sessions of ultrasound took care of it.

Well whenever something continues for hours you should see a doctor. To answer the question could it be from lifting something heavy, the answer is yes, you could have a pulled a muscle or stretched tendions. If Advil (not tylenol) does help since it is more for muscle relief, it may be muscle. Go see a doctor to ease your mind.
Good luck!

Pain behind the shoulder blade could indicate gall bladder trouble. If you eat some greasy french fries and feel terrible afteward, it probably is gall stones.
Should blade pain can also indicate heart problems since you indicated breathing problems. Don't take any chances. Get yourself checked immediately.

I went to a doc in the box to help me with the same problem. It was from lifting. A few days before I must have really pinched anerve or somethign in my gym class. I felt the same way as you. Give it another day and try not to lift heavy objects.

Make an appointment to go see a doctor this week. It could be something simple that they could fix right away - or it may be something serious, in which case the earlier you seek help the better.

It is most likely a pinched nerve. I have had the same pain throughout my life. You need to see a qualified doctor to properly diagnose and treat you. If you are really concerned I would suggest going to your local hospitals' emergency room.

I would go have it checked out. It is possible that it could be something serious. But more than likely it is just gas, or you have picked up on something to heavy.

Go to a doctor and tell him your symptoms. You may need to have an x-ray taken of your shoulder, but a doctor needs to make that decision.
