I don't really hear anything about The Royal family making decisions like they used to, It's all about Tony Blair. He's likt the President right? If they no longer hold power . . . what do they do?

The Royal family is a figure head with no political decision making power. They are a time honored tradition that is in the hearts of all British subjects.

Tony Blair is England's George Bush in many respects. (he is pretty much an idiot too.) Currently he is a lame duck on his way out which I am sure is a relief to many Brits.

Parliament makes the decision, the Royal Family is a much loved institution.
They support many great causes, if you recall Princess Diana was an advocat for the ban of land mines, visiting countries where mines were still active.
England wouldn't be England without them.

No, they are not, and nor do they have to be. The royal family no longer has any control in making decisions for the country. I understand they can still issue proclamations but to be effective they must be approved by Parliament.
