No . Your own father should be your father figure. Then on the other hand many girls without fathers tend to go for older men who will look after them, which in a way is natural. So there's no real correct answer, depends on individual situation.

That depends on your level of maturity, and certainly your age (if you are under 18 and he is much older, that brings up the subject of potential jail time in his head). Having said that, I am a middle-aged guy who is very romantic and sensitive and am extremely attracted to younger women, even those in their late teens IF they are pretty, and act sweet and lovable. They must show respect for a guy by listening to him and take care of themselves. My age is also deceiving, as I look younger and have lots of energy, so why worry about an age difference if a man shows a real interest in you. Older men who like younger women are not generally the typical "sicko" portrayed in movies. I love young women and want one very much, and would be very sweet to her. There are advantages for the woman in making this choice, not the least of which is financial. Most older men are more successful by the time they are in their thirties or forties, own a home, and are quite capable of loving a woman and treating her with dignity. You will find that many men over 30 who have not married would be very appreciative of a young woman's companionship and will tend to be more classy and mature. I know this is how I would act towards a young woman who showed an interest in me, as it did both yesterday and today. I hope someone is not afraid to try what you suggest. I hope this helps. L

well that depends on how old you are! IF your not over 18 then no! but if your over 18 then sure because that makes you both consenting adults! I will tell you this age is just a number and should not ruin a friendship, relationship. Personally i would date,be friends with, even marry a man older than myself! provided we both had common interests and were compatable with each other! my mom is 16 yrs younger than my dad and they have been married for 46yrs. so marriages, relationships, with a big age difference can work. And right now i'am Friends with a man who is almost 19yrs older than me and the age difference does not bother me! And if sometime in the future it happend to turn into more than friends the age difference still would not bother me!

Of course. My buddy James if 52 years old and his current gf is 24. And no, he's not rich and he's not that great looking. She just loves how mature and together he is and how he makes her FEEL. She has no "daddy" issues because she has a close relationship with both her parents.

An anomaly? Maybe......but it's OK. Unless you're 14 and he's over 18..then we've got some issues......

If you are over 18 and very mature, I can't see why not if he meets all your other requirements. I'm 38 now and I forget my age when I see a good looking 20ish gal. I don't think I could handle something like that, but it might be fun for a minute.
