She's two years old!!! She'll develope and discard many habits before she is 4 years old! Thumbsucking, chewing of nails, she may bite, she may hit, SHE'S TWO!!! She doesn't know what she is doing or why SHE'S TWO!!! She'll get a habit, then grow out of it, she'll find another one she's interested in, then forget that too!!! She's developing and from what she developes when she is two, she will outgrow!! At the age of two they are just now learning how to test thier environment, most of the time they do it for a reaction from you. If she gets no response, she'll move on to something else. This is how they learn. Everytime she bites her nails and you see her, she gets a reaction. Ignore it, and it will go away. She'll move on to knocking stuff off your coffee table, or throwing stuff, it's all a process of learning for her, she is testing the waters. That's all.

do not take heed to guage Judy, she's a whackjob, obviously. That makes no experience to me. I easily have a three three hundred and sixty 5 days previous son, who would not chew his fingernails, yet i might want to imagine this is gotta be effortless in some childrens. do not hardship, i'm positive you're an staggering be sure. do not enable a television decide get you down!

Yea.My mom used that polish on me when I was a kid.It was nasty but I just got used to it.If you make a big deal about the nail biting he'll keep right on doing it.Kids of this age have a very short attention span. When you see him biting change his focus onto something else that will draw his attention off what he's doing. Yea it can be time comsuming but how important is this to you?

Sounds like anxiety, but what could a 2 yr. old be anxious over??
Talk to the Pediatrician I'm sure there is some bitter stuff you can get to put on her nails that should curb the nail biting.

Keep them clipped short. The special polish is not for toddlers. Besides it really doesn't work. My sister used to chew right through it. Toddlers shouldn't have nails long enough to bite anyway...keep them clipped

Soak her fingertips in vinegar. It's a cheap way to stop the habit that's been used for decades.

She may be biting them because of nerves. Ask your peds doc if he recommends something to put on them or if it is something she will grow out of. I don't suggest putting anything on them until you have talked to her doctor. Some products may cause her to get sick. Or she may have an allergic reaction.

you could either put tape on the ends till she stops or put something she won't like the taste of on the end of them. My dad put this nasty stuff on my thumb to try to break me from sucking my thumb when i was a kid. YOu could try it
