Ice for 20 min. then moist heat for 20 min. Alternate. Is it on the spine?? Is he able to bend over ok?? It has a bump due to the bruising.More blood flow to the area.
I would do this tonight and then if still bothering him, call Dr. in the a.m.

if he isnt screaming and crying he should be ok, he might have hit his tail bone which hurts like a you know what! if the swelling doesnt go down in a couple of days take him to the Dr he might have a bulging disc or something

The best thing you can do is take him in to the er just to make sure nothings broken

Children's Tylenol and an ice pack.
Wouldn't you complain if it happened to you? What would you do for yourself?
