You do have the right to choose that is freewill. you may suffer because of those choices but you are only influenced if you allow yourself to be. yes a homeless can choose to be a famous singer only as far as talent and luck will go. the word you seek would be children because that is where freewill exists without perimeters. once we get over about 3 that influence sets in

To me free will is not the ability to choose as much as it is the ability to think and act on our own. Influences good and bad are all around us, that effect our choices, yes. But the fact that we can think about it, make a choose, or make new options if needed. Under Satan's original plan, he would force everyone to do what was right, no free will. We would think, but the thoughts wouldn't be ours. We would be alive, but we wouldn't have a life. Free Will also brings about the opposite in everything. With out free will we would have sorrow, anger, depression, pain, and etc. but we also wouldn't have joy, happiness, thankfulness, pleasure, nor a good since of pride (pride is good in small doses). Free will allows us to experience everything, to learn, grow, and love especially God.

Ah so, you have created whatever situation you are in by your free will. And since you don't like the result, you want to jump to another situation at instant speed?
Could it be that the concept of free will also includes to shoulder the consequences?
Besides exercising free will does include making mistakes. So you always decide within the perimeters of your own making. Always!

There is more than free will involved. It must include action.
A homeless person can become a famous singer, but they have to start singing before people, some of whom can make them famous.
Free will is just a choice. Action is what manifests that choice.

You are the only jail keeper that ever surfaces in your life. Whenever you realize that you have the power to be free, freedom follows. Everything you do in your life is by choice, and you are free to choose again. Even prisoners are free to choose their thoughts so they can feel peace and happiness under any condition. Freedom begins in the mind.

Free will does exist!
We all have the ability to make choices and decisions, and that my friend is "free will"
If I wanted to smoke crack, I could. If I wanted to work, I could. If I wanted to help the homeless, I could.
No, I can't be a the next top model, if I were 5ft and 300 pounds.
No, I can't be a singer, if I can't sing.
Being a singer has NOTHING to do with "free will" it has to do with a thing called talent.

Being able to choose - does not guarantee success. So yes a homeless person can choose to be a famous singer, but that does not mean they will sauced.

Free will denotes the ability to choose from all of the options AVAILABLE to you. You therefore do not have the freedom to choose to be lighter than air, or impervious to radiation, or to be Barbara Streisand.
Free will is a real and powerful thing, but we are still limited.

the only way freewill would be without influence, is if you had no knowledge of what is good or evil. Yes...I feel your definition is wrong.
