If a baby is feed but given no physical contact, it will remain completely mindless forever once it reaches a certain age say 5-8.

Yes please report me. I want all my questions taken off, and for this ID to have never existed. A lot of myquestions were pretty lousy, but not this one.

It has been done...like in east Europe or something. Hey man people are sick. You're saying that it's impossible for someone to not care about their child?

2006-09-12 16:59:44 · update #3

Yes in these cases the child does live very long.

If there was no physical contact, how could a baby be fed? Someone has to feed a helpless child. Who would ever do something like this question suggests? What would they do, lock a kid in an empty room and just throw food through a door? Talk about completely mindless, this question fits the bill.

God uses everyones life in different ways. With no poor, there would be no rich. With no sick, there would be no health. See my point? God will test us all. Why is it that most ill or unwealthy Christians live more for God than healthy or wealthy people?
God uses everyones lives differently. Some as a warning sign to others. As a Christian, you have to accept this and have a talk with God and ask him for a sign to let you know everything will be alright.

Some of the strongest Christians I have ever met were Ill and/or unwealthy. They were also the most content people I have ever met. Only God really knows what is on the inside and in the hearts of others.

Come to me with a heavy burden and I will give you rest.

If a baby is given no comfort or physical reassurance in the way of hugs, kisses, whispers, soothing voices, they do not become 'mindless' just emotionally stunted, kind of like an autistic child.

Socially inept, yes, but not 'mindless'.

As for free will, we choose according to our value system. Our value system is determined by our cultural identity, our physical environment and education level.

We do have free will, but our 'choices' are programmed in us, pre-determined by society, our family and sub-culture.

For example, I'm gay. On gay internet dating websites, I am asked the question "Are you a bottom or a top?" What determines my desire to be ****** or to ****? Not a case of sexuality here, but sex role-play and gender identity. How is my 'masculinity' determined? Genetic structure, sub-cultural affiliation, self-image and past experience, along with sexual pathology. Do I choose whether or not I enjoy being anally penetrated? Yes and no....

Human children are rarely used as 'feed' but they are often 'fed.' Yet to answer the question, I often question the idea of 'free will' as most often people fit into persoanlity types, these are often used by pschologists, pschoanalysists and criminal profilers with hude degrees of accuracy. One tried and tested result is that with staggering frequency people tend to make decisions based on their personality type. This leads me to believe that 'free will' is nothing more than an illusion that helps us feel in control of what in reality is a vast and often unpredictable universe. Yet one may have to reflect more on this in order to come to some kind of personal understanding of the place of 'free will' in Judaism and Christianity. For example, are we truly free not to steal when our family is starving? Does a soldier really have the freedom to disobey an unjust order when he/she faces a court martial for insurrection?

Freewill is taught, as well as intelligence or wisdom through mental stimulation from one's evironment. Ignorance is the blank chalkboard we come with, unfortunately, most leave it that way because they're lazy.

First of all, do you know what is meant by free will?
Good lord my man, everyone has free will, we were not created like robots...
The second part of your confused question...how does that fit in with the first part?

Free will is a gift God has given them who He foreknew but did not side with Him during the Overthrow. Its not a second chance, but a way back to God.><>

Freewill is a joke. It is similar to a husband telling his battered wife -- "LEAVE if you want! I'll hunt you down and kill you (or chuck you to hell), but you do whatever you want! You have free will!"
