I just need the technique to freeze them like if I need to peel and cut them up first

Kinda depends what use you'll make of them. Generally I would say wash, remove cores, peeling optional( I like the tartness of the peel). Then cut up directly into a sugar syrup, about 1/2 cup for a pint of fruit. You can make either 40% or 50% for crabapples depending how sweet you want them-3cups of sugar or 41/2 cups dissolved in 4 cups luke warm water. They also make good jelly. Hope that helps.
