dont diet! excersice! if you run every morning...say spint 100 meters, jog or walk till u catch your breath and repeat a few times you can eat the same as u did, if not more..and look better! its called HIIT training...high intensity interval training..look it up. ps, do a cycle of cardio then weights. ie: one day run. the next do jump squats n walking lunges...youll boost yoir metabolism and build muscle...every lb of muscle burns 500 cals per day...think about it. ps drink lots of water...lemon water tastes great n makes u feel full and healthy. good luck

what diet are you on?
remember most diets are bogus.. the major thing is a diet you can be on for the rest of your life.
here we go again.. i might as well make a song about it... the current food pyramid if you follow that.. you'll lose the weight, not starve and sell your soul for a cookie and you most likely won't get cranky...
because you don't have to give up what you love.. you just have to moderate... proportion... exercise (not as much as you think) and drink that water...
:D
almost all diets are scams and have a high failure rate even if you stick with it.. some just stop working. you starve you create an imbalance in your body chemistry and you get mood swings and irritable sometimes a bad diet will mess with your menstrual cycle and give you headaches.. so on.
take this all into consideration.

Good carbs like celery and carrots will never make you fat. Bad carbs like cake will, but you don't need to know the whole science of glycemic index and load. It is mostly NOT your fault, if you need to lose weight. The way we have been taught to eat is responsible for making obesity the number one health problem in the world (according to Atlantic Monthly magazine) replacing hunger and infectious disease. You need to re-learn how to eat so you can become thin. Not a diet, but diet lifestyle.
Find out about fastest way to lose weight, gradual ways to lose weight, most effective exercise, good and bad carbs and anti-water. Lose bodyfat and retained water which also makes you a lot fatter (bloated). Links page has gov. BMI calculater to find out just how much overweight you are (teens plug in your age to compare to others your age). Get latest info like American Heart Association does not want you to eat more than 6 ounces daily of meat, fish or poultry. Most important-- make sure to read the last "fat loss tip", first before anything else, to see the number one food that causes Americans to be fat.

Mood swings during Weight Loss are often attributed to a chemical imbalance because your body is adapting to new nutritional ratios...
Counter attack strategy:
1- Drink as much water as possible! Best option ever.
2- Double your vitamin intake, either with a variety of fruits or with supplements
3- Exercise, you will vent out the stress.
Good luck !

I have dieted a number of times - unfortunately, and I have never had it produce a bad mood. If your carbs are too low as in the Atkins diet, you can experience mood swings and insomnia (my husband had this happen and had to go off the diet.)

Exercising is good for changing your moods, such as walking, or going to a park and get on the swings. Don't try to diet to extremes take it slow. The faster you loose the weight, the faster it come back. try to loose fat not muscle.

I had that happen to me once. I was following a diet and knowing that I had to eat some beets that evening, I was cranky. Maybe you can substitute another food for the one you are suppose to eat. You know, one with the same benefits ,calories, whatever. Good luck, friend. It isn't easy, I know, and so do all your sisters around the world!!!

I have no idea but I know what you mean, unfortunately nothing ever made me feel better except what caused me needing to be on a diet in the first place.

use your creativity to occupy your depression.
Pick something either somber or happy to paint, draw, sketch, photograph, etc etc.. explore your artsy side. While occupying your mind with art, you'll begin to think less about what your diet is causing and more about how to make your projects better.
It's sort of a shift focus routine. Hope it helps

give yourself a "free day" every week and eat whatever you want on that day - thats your special day to splurge. Now when the 'bad mood' hits, think about that free day and write down what you want on a piece of paper, then follow up with eating that stuff on your free day. it sure helped my bad moods!
