what was its number and airline? didn't it crash somewhere in NY too? it seemed like it happened then all the info just disappeared, as i remember they first thought it was shot down somehow....

I don't remember the name, it was a few weeks I believe. A part of the tail came off the plane before it crashed into long island or stanton island.

All flights were grounded for a week following 9/11, so there couldn't have been a plane crash that soon afterwards.
