Would like to know if the debt is still valid after two years. If not- great! If so, then I need to file for bankruptcy.

I not really sure. I thought it was 7 years. But, the Courts will cater more to those with money. Bankruptcy has changed in the past few years, a least one year. Now they will make you pay more for Credit Card Debt, see what money can do? Chapter 13 does re-establish your Credit and you may pay ALL debt now. Chapter 7 may be more to your liking, but, it may not help your credit as much. There a lot of lawyers that will give your an initial free consultation and some even put their fees on your Bankruptcy. I would suggest you call around and get a Freebie to find out your options.

WRONG! The debt stays with you for seven years and guess what--- What do you think all the fuss was about with regards to changing the bankruptcy laws? That's right-people like you! That go out, buy all kinds of luxuries, then head for "Bankruptcy" court!

Sorry, but this is one you're goning to have to deal with in the real realm of life! NO BANKRUPTCY FOR YOU!!!!!!!!!!

Probably longer than two years. Look up statutes of limitation for SC, and it will be the one for contracts (generally around 5 years). It starts running from your last charge or payment.

Echo is correct....read the link she provided. It gives not only the information, but points you to the state laws so you can verify it or use it in your defense.

Love that site!
