No, it's not wrong. If she doesn't appreciate the way you treat her you will stop caring eventually because she is not the person you had hoped she is. If she is the person you hoped her to be, she may come around to your way of thinking.

NO, THAT IS WHAT YOU DO IF YOU CARE ABOUT HER. AND HOPEFULLY, SHE WILL FEEL THE SAME WAY ABOUT YOU. DON'T FALL INTO THAT MODERN MACHO BULL THAT MOST YOUNG GUYS THINK IS THE WAY TO DO IT. THEY WILL LIVE TO REGRET THE NASTY ATTITUDE THEY HAVE TOWARD WOMEN. EVEN SOME OF THE YOUNG GIRLS ARE BUYING INTO THE IDEA OF BEING TREATED LIKE A "B---H".
