"If we're not willing to use it here against our fellow citizens, then we should not be willing to use it in a wartime situation," said Wynne.

Imagine if they had that attitude about lethal weapons.

The President isn't pushing it. That is just what the secretary said. Secondly if its non lethal why not use it on us. And they won't be unsuspecting if its a riot. If you are in a riot and are going around destroying American property your gonna get what you deserve. But on the other hand I don't know why they can't use it in other countries at a limited capacity, or against animals before they use it on humans, but I trust our gov. and if they are to the point where they are wanting to test it on us then it is 99.999999% probable that it will work in the way they want it to. Using it on our own people will just be showing off to the international community how humane we are. But tell me this what ever happened to using OC spray and billy clubs?

You have not seen true madness, and therfore have no perspective. This is a stupid excuse and poor reasoning, but no where near what has been exacted upon people throughout history.
Did everything bad happen to this nation under Bush? Were we going along in a perfect utopia for all of our history previous to the last few years?

It amazes me that you worded this question as you did and it doesn't suprise me at all that you are part of the Bush Hater's club.

First of all they're talking about non-lethal weapons, such as rubber bullets and a few even higher tech versions of deadly force alterntatives.

They're only going to be used (tested) during times of civil disobedience, such as rioting.

So, unless you plan on running down your street hurling maltoff cocktails at people's homes and setting cars along the streets on fire and then throwing rocks at law enforcement when they arrive . . . . . I wouldn't be too concerned if I were you.

On the other hand, if you are planning such activities, I would have to agree with you somewhat. By this I mean, I would prefer that law enforcement resorts to deadly force. We wouldn't want the Bush administration to further upset you, would we?

P.S.: IDIOT!

Once again an effort at dis/mis-information by the fearful and paranoid left!

Get your act straight, stop trying scare and manipulate the public...most of us are too bright to buy into your "chicken little...the sky is falling" line of horsesh*t.

If this questions truly implies that you are seriously concerned about the US Government using or testing weapons against US citizens in our streets - I strongly suggest that you move out of the country before your unfounded paranoia requires you to seek professional help.

The US would not test weapons on US citizens in US streets & quoting the Communist News Network will never convince me of such a blatant lie.

"Crowd control situations" are a little different than unsuspecting US civilians. These are also known as riots.

Quoted from the article:

"If we're not willing to use it here against our fellow citizens, then we should not be willing to use it in a wartime situation," said Wynne. "(Because) if I hit somebody with a nonlethal weapon and they claim that it injured them in a way that was not intended, I think that I would be vilified in the world press."

How stupid can you be? It's a weapon! It's intended to be used during war! You're not supposed to use it against your fellow citizen. I just don't get it.
